Daviess County Jail Records Requests
DCDC open-records requests must be written. The request goes to the Official Custodian of Records at DCDC, 3337 Hwy 144, Owensboro, KY 42303, or by email to openrecords@daviesscojail.org. The request must be signed, dated, state Kentucky residency, include an address, include a phone number if possible, and describe the requested jail records with enough detail for staff to locate them.
Written response is due within five business days, and the clock starts the day after DCDC receives the request. Copies cost $0.10 per page plus postage, paid before copies are received. Jail open records are useful when a record is not in the online lookup, but exemptions still apply to private identifiers, medical material, PREA information, security-sensitive records, inactive records, and restricted details.

Daviess County Inmate Money
Money can be deposited through the DCDC Building 1 lobby kiosk using cash or credit card 24 hours a day. Deposits are usually available after a short delay or by the next day. Credit-card deposits are limited to a $300 maximum account balance. Online and phone deposits use CorrectPay, with phone support at 1-855-836-3364. Mailed funds must be cashier's checks, certified checks, or money orders payable to Daviess County Detention Center, with the inmate's name on the memo line.
Commissary orders are placed on the kiosk under "New Order." Deadlines are midnight CST Sundays and Wednesdays for next delivery. Submitted orders cannot be changed or cancelled. The maximum purchase is $150 per inmate per commissary day, including hot/cold cart and nicotine patches. If a weekday holiday reduces commissary to once per week, the maximum is $300. Public gift baskets may be ordered through K&W Corrections or 1-859-376-4230, with a 6 a.m. CST deadline on Mondays and Thursdays.
When inmates owe fees, including state or federal inmate fees, DCDC says 50% of deposits apply to fees. Diabetic or indigent inmates cannot receive gift baskets. Disciplinary-segregation inmates cannot receive commissary except hygiene, mail, or medical supplies.
Kentucky KOOL and VINE
County jail custody and state prison custody are different systems. The DCDC roster is the local source for current county inmates. Kentucky DOC KOOL is the fallback for sentenced state offenders. Kentucky VINE is used for custody notifications. If no Daviess County inmate result appears, the next step depends on whether the person may be in state custody, released, transferred, or registered under a separate public-safety system.

The official Daviess County Sheriff app is listed on Apple and Google Play. Research found store descriptions for communication, crime reporting, tip submission, interactive features, and public safety news.
